We spend most of the day out on tours, but are available to answer your questions by phone Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can always send us an email, too!
It’s DC. Parking is always tough! If you want to avoid the hassle, we recommend taking a Lyft, Uber, or the Metro (and our U St tour starts directly across the street from the Metro!)
But hey, if you have to drive, then we suggest you check out these garages close to your tour starting locations!
You can, of course, try for street parking too, but most are 2-hour spaces and the tour is 3 hours which makes things tricky. Just be sure to give yourself plenty of time!
It won’t be like hiking tup a mountain – we’re walking about 1.5 – 2 miles in three hours. Think of it as more of a “stroll.” We will sit here and there but you should be comfortable staying on your feet.
We keep our groups small. Public tours will have a maximum of 12 guests on our U Street Fork Tour and 8 guests on our Georgetown Fork Tour and Old Town Alexandria Fork Tour.
Our U Street Fork tour is wheelchair accessible. Strollers can be accommodated on each route, but there are a few stops that have a step or two at the entrance…probably something you are used to if you are navigating with a stroller often!
We don’t offer special tastings or ticketing for kids, but they are welcome on our Fork Tours! Unless your child is a toddler in a stroller, they will require a ticket as well. Do keep in mind that the length of the tour is about three hours. You know your little ones best, so if you think they’re good to go, bring them along!
Unfortunately, Babel Fish technology isn’t available to us at the moment, so all our tours are in English only. Please email us if you would like to set up your own interpreter to come along.
Since our tours are on a schedule, we ask everyone to make any purchases after the tour. This way we can stay on track and keep others from waiting.
Most of our stops have restrooms. No worries there.
Of course! We handle the cost of food and tips at each restaurant, but if your tour guide did a great job, give him/her a little extra to show some love. With that said, it’s very much appreciated but not mandatory.
Yes! We offer each route as a private tour for 2 – 10 people everyday. Small private tours are are bookable right online. We can also host bigger groups up to 100+. If you have a larger group or would like to request a private tour at a time or on a day that is not available, please contact us through our Private Tours form. We can offer one of our standard routes or work with you to customize as needed.

There are no bad times! But if you’re new to the District, our tours help you get acquainted with the area, so take them at the beginning of your visit.
We applaud solo travelers! It’s sometimes the best way to explore. We do have a two-person minimum to operate our tours. That said, once we have two people on a tour, our system allows single tickets to be booked. As long as an active tour is available for you to book, you can join our public tours.
The Food
The selection may vary from time to time to keep things fresh. Plus, surprises are always more fun! Rest assured, it’ll all be delicious and the size of a filling meal.
Let us know about any food allergies and dietary restrictions when you buy your ticket. We’ll do our best to make it work and find alternatives. (Please note that we are not able to accommodate vegans or dairy allergies on tour.)
Yes, eating is part of the fun! You don’t wanna walk around and watch other people eat! Plus, the food is gonna be so good, you’ll end up asking your friends for a bite and then it might be awkward.
Ticket Info
We want your tour experience to go smoothly, so yes, we ask that all tickets be purchased ahead of time! As for payments, it’s hard to stuff cash through the interwebs, so for your convenience, we take all major credit cards. However, cash tips are accepted by our tour guides, and greatly appreciated!
We don’t have a waitlist, but if you do see that a particular tour is sold out, let us know. We’ll try to work something out. We’re nice like that!
Yes! You may buy a gift certificate. Just click on our “Shop” menu to purchase gift cards for a present or for your own use in the future.
The tours (like the show) must go on! We run tours rain or shine. So bring your umbrella, grab your poncho, and get ready to have fun. We’ve never let a little rain stop us.
As we mentioned, we tour rain or shine. With that said, safety comes first. In the event the weather gods decide to throw a helluva tantrum and rain down lightning bolts, we will either reschedule the tour or issue full refunds.
Book now and stay flexible. If you choose the option to make your ticket refundable when you check-out, you will have the ability to receive a full refund if you cancel up to 24 hours prior to your tour start time.
